Please carefully read the following requirements before your abstract submission.
1. [Presentation and Publication Policy]
・Presentations previously delivered in English at any domestic or international conference are not permitted.
Exception: If the data (e.g., number of cases) has been updated, the presentation is allowed.
・Presentations previously delivered in Japanese at a domestic conference may be submitted in English for JGES International. The same applies to presentations originally given in other non-English languages.
Published Work:
・Content from an accepted manuscript cannot be presented.
Exception: If the data (e.g., number of cases) has been updated, the presentation is allowed.
・Manuscripts that have been submitted (including those under revision) are not restricted.
2. [No conflict with Ethical Regulations]
Medical research involving human subjects, including research on samples and data of human origin, should be approved by the Ethics Committee, and informed consent should be obtained in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki. If ethical issues are suspected, it will be discussed by the Ethics Committee of the Society. To protect the privacy of individuals, please refrain from using expressions that may identify individuals in the images and other materials presented.
3. [Conflict of Interest]
Before your abstract submission, please be sure to read through “Conflict of Interest” page.
4. [Publication of Conference Proceedings]
Conference proceedings will be available through an app for smartphones and tablets. Please note that accepted abstracts will be electronically published.
5. [Authorship and Institutional Requirements]
・You cannot register more than one doctor from the same organization to submit the same subject as the first author. Please note that both abstracts will be rejected if applicable.
However, if the first author belongs to a different organization, they can apply as a co-author.
・It is permissible for presenters from different institutions to submit abstracts as first authors on the same collaborative research project within the same theme. However, each submission must clearly represent a distinct perspective or approach within the shared theme.
・For a multi-institutional study, please use the name of the organization, or use a title that identifies the study as a multi-institutional study.
・Individuals who have made a substantive contribution to the research may be listed as co‑authors at the time of abstract submission, regardless of their JGES membership or physician licensure. Pathologists and biostatisticians may continue to be included as co‑authors even if they are non‑members.
If above requirements are not followed, the Program Committee may review and withdraw the abstract.
6. [Duplicate Submissions]
You cannot submit the same contents in different categories. Abstracts considered to be the same will be discussed by the reviewers and program committee. Please note that when the abstracts are judged to be identical, both will be rejected. For categories, please see “4. Presentation & Category Type ”.
7. [Attendance, Withdrawal, and Absence]
・Please be aware that any author that withdraws an abstract after acceptance notification or is absent without notice on the day of presentation may possibly be penalized according to the rules of JGES.
・Presenters who fail to deliver their scheduled presentation without a valid reason may be subject to disciplinary action. For further details, please refer to the relevant guidelines.
・Even if presentation data (video files) are submitted in advance for web‑based presentations, presenters who do not attend the session on the day will be treated as absent.
Abstracts will also be removed from the official record if the presenter has not completed the congress registration. Advance registration is strongly recommended.
・If the first author is unable to present due to unavoidable circumstances, a co‑author may present on their behalf. In such cases, the JGES credit will, in principle, remain with the first author. However, if you wish to transfer the credit to the presenting author, please notify the Congress Secretariat at:
2026jges-intl@convention-plus.com.
・Any instance of plagiarism, unauthorized use of others’ work, or other forms of misconduct detected in the submitted abstract or presentation will result in disciplinary measures. For further details, please refer to the relevant guidelines.
