Pancreatobiliary Hands-on Seminar (OLYMPUS/ FUJIFILM)

Pancreatobiliary Sessions
Session No. HO1 and HO2
Join the Pancreatobiliary Hands-on Training at the 2nd JGES International!
This year’s pancreatobiliary hands-on program features two specialized sessions focusing on ERCP and EUS. Participants will receive practical training using dedicated training models and the latest endoscopic devices under the guidance of experienced pancreatobiliary endoscopists.
Whether you are seeking to strengthen your fundamental skills or gain hands-on experience in advanced therapeutic procedures, these sessions offer an excellent opportunity to learn practical techniques, appropriate device selection, and procedural tips directly from expert pancreatobiliary endoscopists.

Session HO1: ERCP
Capacity: 12 participants / 4 stations
This session provides comprehensive hands-on training in essential therapeutic ERCP procedures using Fujifilm endoscopy systems.

Hands-on training includes:
- Stone extraction techniques
- Biliary stent placement (plastic and metal stenting)
- Device selection and procedural tips
- Practical training using dedicated ERCP models Participants will rotate through multiple stations focusing on bile duct stone management and biliary stenting, with individualized instruction from expert faculty members.

Session HO2: EUS
Capacity: 9 participants / 3 instructor-led stations, plus 1 additional self-practice station
This session provides hands-on training in both diagnostic and interventional EUS, ranging from fundamental EUS imaging and lesion visualization to advanced EUS-guided therapeutic procedures using Olympus endoscopy systems.

Hands-on training includes:
• EUS-guided hepaticogastrostomy(EUS-HGS)
• EUS-guided cyst drainage (EUS-CD)
• EUS-guided drainage using an electrocautery-enhanced lumen-apposing metal stent(Hot AXIOS)
• Practical training in EUS imaging and lesion visualization/EUS-guided tissue acquisition

Participants will have the opportunity to practice each procedure using dedicated training models while receiving practical instruction on scope manipulation, target identification, device selection, and procedural techniques from expert faculty members.

GI Hands-on Seminar (FUJIFILM)

Discover Your Potential at the 2nd JGES International Meeting!
Train. Be Assessed. Learn from Experts. Improve. (FUJIFILM)

Experience a unique ESD hands-on seminar designed around your individual skill level.

Unlike conventional training courses, every participant will first undergo an objective technical assessment using the MIKOTO ESD simulator. Based on the assessment results, participants will be assigned to the most appropriate training station, ensuring an efficient and personalized learning experience. Our instructors are young Japanese ESD experts from Jichi Medical University who have trained numerous international fellows through real clinical practice. Beyond teaching techniques, they aim to share the philosophy of Japanese ESD in a friendly and interactive learning environment.

Hands-on Program
The FUJIFILM area consists of seven endoscopy stations.
Stations 1–2
Practice Continuous Low-pressure Saline Perfusion (CLPSP) with the Bubble-free Setting, an innovative ESD technique developed by Congress President Prof. Hironori Yamamoto, using ex vivo porcine stomach models.
Stations 3–4
Learn the internationally recognized Pocket-Creation Method (PCM) on ex vivo porcine stomach models under expert guidance.
Stations 5–6
Continue practicing independently using the MIKOTO ESD simulator to refine your skills.
Station 7
Experience advanced therapeutic techniques using the G-Master model for ROLM and the DENKA UA ESD model, with opportunities to receive guidance from the developers of these techniques.
Personalized Training
Each session is limited to 12 participants (4 teams of 3).
After the initial assessment, participants will be assigned according to their technical performance.
• Higher-ranked participants will train with CLPSP ESD (Stations 1–2).
• Other participants will receive intensive PCM ESD training (Stations 3–4).
During rotation, participants are encouraged to observe other procedures, continue self-training with the MIKOTO simulator, or explore additional techniques at Station 7.
This dynamic format allows participants to assess, practice, observe, discuss, and improve continuously throughout the session while experiencing the educational approach that has helped train many international ESD fellows at Jichi Medical University.

Experience More Than Technique
More than learning a technique, this is an opportunity to experience the philosophy of Japanese ESD.

Every expert was once a beginner.
Every master keeps learning.
Join us. Learn together. Shape the future.
